Twitching during sleep - using Meth?

just
wondering
Twitching during sleep = meth using?
My wife has started doing this.
She twitches in her sleep, and sometimes seems to be fighting in her sleep. I can't really describe it-- like a scare reflex or something.

She says she hasn't been using anymore, but I found the stuff mixed in with her makeup last night.
I haven't said anything yet, because I'm wanting to get an idea of how much she's been using first.

Do these twitches & apparent night terrors (or whatever they are) indicate that she's been using heavily? Or does it make a difference? Just feeling things out before I confront her with anything.

There you go, grounds to confront.

The twitching- honestly my husband had it with use and had it for quite some time after quitting.
That may be a debatable point.
Finding the baggie with the sh!t- no debate. It wouldn't be there unless he brought it in and he would be the only one using.
What do you know?
Any ideas in mind for what you will say or do when you do confront?
Have you thought it through? Have you read up on it, do you know much about meth?
Are you ready?

You have the answer that you need right in front of you. Sorry but if you are not using, why do you have it? And just for the record, it is (insert who ever's name here) does not count.

My husband sometimes still twitches in his sleep and he is clean. But, when he was coming down after a binge then he would have what seemed to be like the fighting, scared thing.

Welcome to the board!  I used meth for 25 years, and I have been clean for almost 2 years.

The twitching could be caused by many things. It could be something that she started doing when she uses meth. You are doing the best thing that you can do. Read all of the posts here for a few days before you confront her. Ask any questions that you have. Learn about the drug that you are up against. Some others here like Sfj can provide you with some really good articles to read. And, others here will be able to provide you with things that you need to know. Stick around.
Sfj Re: Twitching during sleep = meth using?
The muscle twitching during sleep can continue for quite awhile after quitting meth.

Months, maybe even longer.

But if she's using, you have much bigger issues to deal with.

Has meth really been around for 25years? How come I thought it was the new cocaine?
Sfj Re: Twitching during sleep = meth using?
Amphetamines are over a hundred years old.

Meth, probably about 80 or 85 years.

Because it is just recently come out of the closet and made headlines.
Yes, it has been around that long.
It just wasn't as talked about or as easily found as it is now.

Twitching.... when my husband was coming down he twitched really heavy...if he was clean for a while the twitching subsided but didn't really go away completely... but it was enough to let me sleep.

And when he was coming down he would act like he was scared in his sleep and make noises. Not all the time, but enough that I noticed.

i used to twitch, kick violently, jerk, and talk really dirty in my sleep...usually after a binge... the dirty talk sounded more like something out of the Exorcist...

now i tap my foot once in a while but thats about it...

I've never used meth but when I am really stressed out, I twitch as well. I will jerk and not even realize it. Sometimes it wakes me up and often it doesnt.

My boyfriend twitched, grinded his teeth and he would move around like he was smiling or weird stuff. Only when he was using.

Re: Twitching during sleep = meth using?
Sfj is right. It has been around for over 100 years and I have done them for 1/4 of those years. How thankful I am to be alive. I guess that I should add that prior to doing meth for 25 years, I used black beauties, mini whites, etc. for a couple of years.
